I'm a professional translator and a researcher of Korean language/culture,

actively developing my expertise on Korea since 2006.

I love all that is Korean and I hope that our exchanges will infect you with this fascination as well.

Academic profile

I am a scholar in Korean studies (particularly Korean but also global Confucianism) and posthumanism, conducting research on Confucian socio-legal and metaphysical discourse throughout Korean history, as well as its placement within the global discourse on posthumanism, transhumanism and nonhumanism.

I completed my PhD at London’s SOAS after having achieved his Master’s Degree at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland jointly with research in Seoul at the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, later studying primary resources at the Academy of Korean Studies in Seoul under a Graduate Fellowship. I was a recipient of Swiss Government ESKAS Research Scholarship at the University of Zürich; additionally, I conducted studies on Joseon-era legal data at the Harvard-Yenching Institute supported by the Library Travel Grant. So far I have published multiple papers on the role of Confucian tradition in South Korea, with the upcoming ones focusing on the placement of animals within Korean Confucianism. I have created and led Korean Studies panels across multiple conventions and conferences in Europe, Asia, North America and Australia.

I am also a freelance translator and tutor of Korean, English and Polish languages.

Overall, my main topical field is the influence of traditional Confucian thought on social superstructure, legal codes and humanistic trends in Korean Peninsula and Sinophone cultural sphere.

저는 한국학(특히 한국적인 뿐만 아니라 세계 유교)과 포스트휴머니즘을 연구하는 학자로서 한국 역사 전반에 걸친 유교적 사회법적, 형이상학적 담론에 대한 연구와 포스트휴머니즘, 트랜스휴머니즘, 비휴머니즘에 대한 글로벌 담론에 대한 연구를 수행하고 있습니다.

폴란드 포즈난에 있는 아담 미츠키에비츠 대학교와 서울 한국외국어대학교에서 공동으로 연구해서 석사 학위를 취득한 후에 취득한 후에 한국학중앙연구원에서 대학원 장학금으로 한국고전문학를 공부한 후 런던의 SOAS에서 박사 학위를 받았습니다. 저는 취리히 대학교에서 스위스 정부 ESKAS 연구 장학금을 받았습니다. 또한 여행 보조금 지원으로 Harvard-Yenching Institute에서 조선 시대 법률 데이터에 대한 연구를 수행했습니다. 지금까지 저는 한반도 유교 전통의 역할에 관한 여러 논문을 출판했으며, 곧 출판할 논문은 한국 유교 내에서 동물의 신분에 초점을 맞춥니다. 저는 유럽, 아시아, 북미 및 호주의 여러 컨벤션과 컨퍼런스에서 한국학 패널을 만들고 이끌었습니다.
